WORD/LINE COUNT: 192 words; 21 lines
NEW PROMPT:es Write a STORY or POEM that begins with the following line, exactly as it appears below: "Now that's not something you see everyday," Earl said, stating the obvious. NOT EVERY DAY!! "Now that's not something you see everyday," Earl said, stating the obvious to the press! (Earl was referring to the blinking, yelling purple turnip he found in his pantry; the Turnip that yelled at at him out loud, and showed him bright colors and even brighter lights! Earl's explanation of this phenomenon, given to the press, off the record, follows:) "Well, I bought a purple turnip; bought it at the produce stand. When I got it back to my house, everything got out of hand! I put it there upon my shelf, like all good bachelors do, when, after my work the next day; it yelled "just who are you??!!" Started showing his bright colors; followed with his blinking lights! Man, I don't know what I've just bought-- it's given me an awful fright! I don't know what's going on; I'm not sure I want to play-- this is crazy and I know it--not a sight seen everyday!"
