God achieved perfection when He created you.
The Weaver of Time wove a masterpiece when He designed our love.
The moon and stars were never brighter,
The flame in our hearts never higher,
And our love was new.

We had love for all the seasons.
Our hearts bloomed with the spring flowers.
Our love grew stronger as summer days grew longer.
Our souls were ablaze like the colors of fall.
Our love was as soft and pure as winter’s first snow.

We were in a fairytale land of forever.
Our love was a glimpse of heaven
Our love was a dream come true.

Then I saw that the spring flowers had died,
The summer days were shorter,
The fall leaves had crumbled and fell,
And winter was bitter cold.

Dawn breaks, dreams end and we wake up.
Along with the shadows of night, faded you and our love.

Our love had turned to dust and our masterpiece to ashes.
Our love stood like ruins silhouetted by a setting sun.

Then from out of the past came the birds of summer,
The familiar voices of fall and the sweet music of winter.
Life and love had come full circle.

Held in your hand was a shimmering spring rose,
On it was the morning dew and the tears of our love.
As I took it gently from your shaking hand,
I heard God whisper to His angels,
“My masterpiece is complete”.
