Truth
A little poem about truth.

A window's reflection,
so real and unappealing.
My soul's introspection:
too honest; too revealing.

My eyes cannot hide,
no matter how they try,
the dark that lurks inside:
that which is really I.

Drawing the curtains tight,
seeking shelter in the shade,
I'll face the truth another night:
truth's consequences unpaid.
