Time marches on day after day,
Gathering us all in tow. Gently, so gently, its pendulum rocks, As we follow along with the flow. Before we know it a year has passed, And in its wake several more. Then we arise one day to find Old age has crept in the door. Time waits for no man, or so it’s been said. I have to agree, for it’s true. Time is a bandit that will steal Life’s precious seconds from you. How do we battle this villain, Time? This wisdom I will now impart. Live for each moment, each day to day With Christ’s love deep in your heart. 16 lines
