![]() Sunflower Morning (a Ducuain poem) I raise my head; I’m ready for the day. The sun calls out; I greet it happily. My arms stretch out like petals in array My body fills with boundless energy. “All rise and shine!” the sun cries its decree. I lift and stretch, my body standing tall. The day is young; my spirit wild and free. I yearn to see, to touch, to know it all. The sun, the sky, the future summon me … There’s so much more beyond I want to see. rhyme scheme: ababbcbcbb **The Decuain (pronounced deck•won), created by Shelley A.
