Dumb and Dumber

Maggie insisted that the family "would go on vacation!"

"Honey," said Martin, "we really can't afford it this year."

Maggie just smiled. "I'll find a way."

The next day, Maggie was talking with her neighbor, Rachel. "Why don't you use our timeshare?" Rachel offered. "Bill and I have another week's stay coming and we weren't planning of using it this year. You'll love it! It has a private pool."

"You're kidding!" Maggie exclaimed. Her eyes narrowed. "OK. What's the catch?" she said as she saw Rachel's grin.

"It's a nudist resort," Rachel guffawed. "All you wear are sandals."

"We'll take it!

That night, Maggie told Martin.

"But what about Marty, Junior?" Martin said.

"He's young and won't even notice," Maggie reassured him.

On the first day of vacation, Maggie, dragging Martin along, took Marty down to the pool where he was soon splashing and playing with the other kids.

During one of the breaks, he asked, "Mom – some of the other mothers have bigger tops than you."

"Don't worry, honey. The bigger they are, the dumber they are."

"OK, but some of the men have bigger lower parts than Daddy."

"Don't worry, honey. The bigger they are, the dumber they are."

Lying in the sweltering sun, Maggie closed her eyes and relaxed with a sigh. It's so beautiful here, she thought, and everyone's so friendly. You don't even notice that no one is clothed.

When Marty came running up, she looked around and noticed Martin wasn't there. "Sweetie – have you seen Daddy?" she asked.

"Yep, he's over there," he said, pointing toward the pool bar. "He's talking to a really dumb lady." The reference brought a smile.

"He is?" she said, rolling over and shading her eyes to search for him. "What's he doing?"

"I don't know but he's getting dumber and dumber!"
