This wall of silence
Covered in tangling, winding ivy
Suffocating anemone, pansy and daisy
Climbing sighs of confusion
Brick for brick cemented
Cowardly, wondering if maybe
May bug, beetle and lemon moth
Consent to this muted intrusion
Obscuring general vision
Of the truth carved in a tree
Marring root, bark and leaf
Cower as if in collusion
Blocking sunshine from his view
Revealing hills beyond the sea
Towering insect, snowdrop and moss
Clouding hushed occlusion
