It's All About The "Me"

The world moves at such a zany pace,
moving faster and yet falling behind.
Taking no time to see a smile or face,
snatching from us our peace of mind.

Respect and manners are now mundane.
I miss the grace and charm of back when.
Now offended in too many ways to explain.
So lucky to have memories from then.

When making purchases at the store,
the next person behind you should wait,
not putting their things on the belt before,
yours are packed, even if they are late.

It behooves me oh so very much,
when I am leaving my parking place,
that a driver pulls up right behind,
making it harder to get out of the space.

Using ATM's are ever so delightful.
My privacy,I fight hard to keep it.
From those pushing up my backside,
spying my number,no longer a secret

Some aristocrats in traffic next to me,
generously share their rap music loudly.
Obnoxiously wearing it like a badge,
their ignorant behavior,so proudly.

Divine is the fast food drive through,
hasty meals tossed into a paper sack.
Once again they screw up my order,
why then should I keep coming back?

"Me" is a person we should think of,
after seeing to our sisters and brothers,
Leaving the "It's all about "Me"  behind,
remembering first the welfare of others.
