Alone On A Midnight Walk
A poem I wrote after taking a walk in my backyard.

Alone
On a midnight walk
With the trees that rise
The sky stretches on
For eternity like a blanket
The sky sheds not a tear
As the blade of a comet slices
The soft glow of the moon stings.
The hoot of the owl
Taunts its late night visitor,
The eyes pierce
Into the night like a knife
Watching the one who
Dares to disturb their slumber
A little bit farther,
The river laughs
At the troll of the frogs
The firefly is lost in it's dance.
For at night
Under the eternal sky
The world changes
Alone
On a midnight walk.
