A Free Verse poem has no real structure. There is no set rhyme or meter, no set line or stanza length in syllables. Free verse poems should flow well, and have a smooth rhythm, but not at the aid of other poetic devices, such us meter. ![]() The Midway beckons all, Moms and Dads sigh while being dragged from rides to games. Little ones scream their joy, "I won, I won!" Every mind reels at the vivid reds and vibrant greens. The Midway answers dreams, A cornucopia of scents trigger delightful memories, Stepping out, all gaits and hearts are light, Walking well-trod paths that speak of fun and excitement. The Midway is universal, Smiles are infectious, giggles and laughter abound. Time crawls as each instant is experienced fully by young and old. The Midway's a moment through that journey called life.
