Princess Juliet's Love Story

I am Princess Juliet. I am the granddaughter of Queen Thyri and King Peyton. They died young of an illness that went through the village. So did my Aunt Cherish. My mother's name is Queen Precious and my father is King Felim. I had a happy childhood. Things were great at the palace until my father fell off his horse two years ago and he hasn't been the same. He used to be a nice man but he is no longer. He beats mother and burned her wrist on a candle because she rode her horse and left the castle for awhile. Father yells at my brother Bastian all the time and hits him. Father has put servants in the dungeon for witchcraft and the servants are innocent. Father scares me anymore and my mother as well. King Felim frightens everyone even his knights. I go to Unicorn Island to get away from it all. Unicorn Island is where fairies, unicorns and dragons live The land is more beautiful then England and has countless water falls and rainbows. The fairies, unicorns and dragons are so gentle. . Only gentle, kind people can enter the island. Mother and I have thought of living there but we can't leave the people under father's wrath. Fadera, the Princess Fairy of Unicorn Island has no power outside of her island. I hope someday she can help us mortals because father is awful and I don't know what will become of the kingdom that we all used to love.

Father had a Ball at the castle last night. I met a handsome young man who is an Apprentice for Lord Garrett. The handsome man is named Gavin and he danced with me to all the dances. This didn't please father. I snuck out of my room later to meet Gavin. We walked in the flower gardens and rode my black horse Trudy. Gavin has a sense of humor and I have never met anyone so kind. Gavin has agreed to meet me tonight in the garden. Father summoned Lord Garrett and told him he didn't want Gavin at the castle. This is so heart breaking. I will meet Gavin in secret until I can figure out what to do.

Gavin and I have been meeting each other in secret for weeks now. We shared kisses and have held hands We share secrets and we have fallen in love. He is the one for me. . Wouldn't you know a knight seen us and told father? Father wanted Gavin put in the Dungeon. When the guards and knights went to get Gavin at Lord Garret's, he wasn't there. I am so glad. Father has locked me in my room and sealed off the secret passages to my room. I am a prisoner. Father wants me to marry a noble Marcus Lintell who is thirty years older then me. I will be miserable all my days. I told father I wouldn't marry Lord Lintell and he burned my wrist with a candle. I no longer love father. I am unhappy and can't leave my room to go to Unicorn Island. I would stay there and never come back if I could. I cry helplessly in my room. What am I going to do? Mother has been forbidden to see me as well. Father has Uncle Amalgaid thrown in the dungeon because Amalgaid defended me and Gavin. Father is cruel and has to be stopped.

My prayers have been answered. Gavin came to rescue me but father and his knights chased him off. I was so afraid Gavin would be captured and put in the dungeon. Gavin got away. Pirates came to the castle and they tried to take over. I was glad. I saw the pirates when I looked out my window. My heart was glad. I would rather be captured by pirates then stay a prisoner in the castle. The door to the sealed passages opened and Gavin appeared on a unicorn! He had come to rescue me! He got of the unicorn and ran to me and hugged me. He told me how much he loved me. He had found Unicorn Island and Fadera gave him the unicorn to ride to come rescue me. The fairy dust from the unicorn made the pirates come and attack the castle. Gavin and I went to Unicorn Island on the unicorn.It was so much fun to play with the unicorns and dragons. Fadera told me and Gavin that we could go back to the castle. Father was dead. Pirates had killed him and Lord Marcus Lintell had been captured by pirates. Gavin and I returned to the castle. Bastian became King. Gavin and I were married. Gavin's father is Lord Garrett and Gavin's mother was a bar wrench who had died of the illness that killed my grandparents and Aunt Precious. Gavin's parents weren't married and that is why Lord Garrett said Gavin was his Apprentice. It doesn't matter to any of us at the castle. Mother married a knight Phildona. Amalgaid married a nice widow woman named Cordelia. Cordelia is best friends with mother and I. Gavin and I have twin daughters and we named them Thyri and Precious. I loved Aunt Precious. She would be so happy that I named one of my twins after her. Bastian is a good King and we are happy. Gavin and I go to Unicorn Island and take the girls. The twins love the unicorns and dragons. Life is good in the castle. I wish father would have never fallen off his horse. He was the nicest man in the world at one time. Maybe his kind spirit is with us after all.
