My Love Is Like A Long-Stemmed Rose
My love is like a long-stemmed rose Pulled tight about my neck My love is hot like a bed of coals now barefoot on them I trek My love is like a flock of birds that rain shit upon my face My love is like fine paper shoe-dragged all over the place My love sets me in the clouds leaving me to suffer in them alone My love stands out in a crowd thanks to his tacky, cheap cologne My love is sweet like a punch that has no sugar at all My love is like a serenade made by a ducks decoy call My love moves like dancer when someone's greased his pole My love is like a verdant garden whose choking weeds I can't control My love comforts like warm milk that's been left out in the sun My love satisfies like chocolate when he has eaten every one My love is like a candle With hot wax falling on my skin My love is like an oak tree And he's the nut therein My love is like a race horse that needs to be shot My love's not perfect of course but he's the only one I've got by: Kimarie Manhart-Freeman
