The garden kingdom reawakes
To the rising sun. In rhythm with the wind leaves shake, The ballad just begun. The daffodils in yellow dress Sway gently in the breeze. The rose like the mighty empress Watching with contented ease. The wildflowers gather 'round To view the lovely sight. The large old oak is looking down, The sparrow's stopped its flight. Now all the flowers dance and sway To the wind's sweet tune. On they dance they the month of May, And steady on through June. The tulips join the dance as well, Followed by the hazel And the martingale. Then sets the sun on this perfect day As I close my eyes And drift away.
