Fear

We cannot stand the verbal abuse
The hatred or the rage
Thats battled up inside him
Waiting to be released
He's like a walking time bomb
Waiting to explode
How many will be in his path
When it all goes up in smoke
No longer can you speak
Without fear running wild
What difficulties lay ahead
Of emotions going wild
I ask the Lord to protect me
Keep me safe from harm
Let me go to sleep peacefully
Keep me safe till dawn
And when the dawn has come
And the morning becomes anew
I ask the Lord again
To keep me from abuse
