What treasures lie buried
Beneath oceans of sand Guarding lands now forgotten Created by man? Stone statues immortal, Everlasting they stand Of forgotten kingdoms And forgotten lands. Exhumed without story To tell of an age No legend nor glory Or recorded sage. Years in the future Artifacts may be found Of a sagacious people, Buried deep in the ground Whose recorded history That was once so profound Is as obscure as yours And will then confound. Bewildering wonders Once unsurpassed Of milestones and blunders And history passed.
