![]() One Last Request I've always been your faithful friend, And ever there for you, But now I'm old and sick and frail, There's one thing you can do. I cannot ask in words as such, Just sadness in my eyes, It's all to much for me to bear, However hard I try. A pat upon my weary head, A kiss upon my brow, Then let the angels do their work, It's time to leave me now. A special toy, the blanket From the place I used to sleep, A photograph of happy times, These are the things to keep. I cannot thank you, but you know I'm free as stars above, I'm living still within your heart, In memories of love.
