The year came and went
since you were carried away
on the angels wings.

We miss you dearly
and we think of you often,
day by lonely day.

Family gathers.
Someone jogs a memory;
bittersweet moments.

We are reminded                           
of something you said or did.         
Sighing, we take pause.     

With thoughts in the past
of little recollections;
both happy and sad.

Through our tears and smiles
we will always remember
cherished times of old.

Within all our hearts
Dad, you will always remain
with us forever.

Our lives will go on
and our pain will slowly fade;
however constant.
