Starry Skies
a stargazer's fantasy
Rated:

Avg Rating: (5)

Starry skies lay brilliantly
in a bounty of displays.
Night has come to comfort me
in gentle countless ways.

As I rest in peacefulness
and wonder at this sight,
the twinkling stars in humbleness
have cast the softest light.

I let the night envelope me,
starlight above my head
and I am where I need to be
upon the path I've tread.

I'll wish upon a shooting star
and dream a child's dreams
and watch the shining stars afar
in timeless astral streams.

In the solace of the night
with thankfulness of heart,
I'll bathe my soul in soft starlight
for never, shall we part.
