Ash to Ash
All is never lost.

A pitiful companion,
the vase remains intact.
Holding all our loved ones,
that we reduced to ash.

On a mantle waiting,
the purgatory lasts
until the mourning finished,
forced we are to act.

Silent sad and starlit,
the night reveals a map,
of everywhere they traveled,
now there's no going back.

A drive as long as ever
where solace makes us one.
To cliffs beside the ocean,
we do what must be done.

Fearlessly we've freed them,
over rocks and rolling tides.
to be with us in spirit
as if they'd never died.
