I WON’T BE DICTATED TO
Humility does not mean allowing oneself to be dictated to by fools and bullies.

I WON’T BE DICTATED TO

Who shall judge I am wrong and
Demand apology?
Not the next door boy who does
Bully me all day long.

Who shall tell me not to sin
And abjure violence?
Not the one who drinks all day,
Has a gun for toy.

Who shall find fault with my pen
And condemn my writing?
Not the one who just cannot
Tell poetry from prose!

Retrospection is my wont
And humble though I am,
I won’t be dictated to
By a fool and bully.
