What’s Here and What’s Not

This item requires reviews with ratings.
When what’s here and what’s there
Is our defeated pride,
And it shan’t be too rare,
We may continue to hide.
Hoping to get into the clear,
With a semblance of positive thinking –
What is due you, such great cheer,
Instead is frustration and constant mood wrinkling.

The tasks we desire
To accomplish are real,
But we are due for a fire,
With all of our zeal –
Respond with a flurry
Of knowledge and strength,
You are due, but don’t worry,
We are all at arm’s length!

Do you think that Superman
Was such a surprise?
That knowing you can
Could be so wise?
Just honor the colors
Of your family tree,
And Earth’s sisters and brothers,
For God has sweet mercy!

Life is a balance,
Despite all of our aim;
All is good chance,
And never too lame…
Infinite pride
Is not something you choose –
What’s here is your guide,
And what’s not, you can’t lose!
