When what’s here and what’s there
Is our defeated pride, And it shan’t be too rare, We may continue to hide. Hoping to get into the clear, With a semblance of positive thinking – What is due you, such great cheer, Instead is frustration and constant mood wrinkling. The tasks we desire To accomplish are real, But we are due for a fire, With all of our zeal – Respond with a flurry Of knowledge and strength, You are due, but don’t worry, We are all at arm’s length! Do you think that Superman Was such a surprise? That knowing you can Could be so wise? Just honor the colors Of your family tree, And Earth’s sisters and brothers, For God has sweet mercy! Life is a balance, Despite all of our aim; All is good chance, And never too lame… Infinite pride Is not something you choose – What’s here is your guide, And what’s not, you can’t lose!
