Chasing Rainbows

Are you tired of chasing rainbows
To have them end in shattered dreams?
Do you invest your wealth and time,
Only, it is not what it seems.

Your sorrows often are too great
To bear alone in this old world.
And so you chase the things you lack.
Troubles around you swirl.

It's time you turned to Jesus Christ.
He has promised to give you peace.
A valley of rainbows you'll find
And worries will then cease.

He waits for you so patiently.
He is as close as prayer.
He vowed that He would bear it all,
Your burdens and your cares.

Give your sorrows to the Savior
That these shall be turned into joy
He will give you the rest you seek.
Your pain He will destroy.

It was for sinners just like you
That He died on Calvary's tree.
He gave His life that you might live
For all eternity.
