NO PLACE FOR A LADY
100 WORDS CONTEST--YOU ARE A SPIDER-DESCRIBE DINNER

In my web of comfort and lies, dinner strolls up to surprise.

I look it over then once more

not knowing quite for sure what will be the outcome.

Halfway there yet almost free a ladybug tries but fails.

Sadly struggling although making strides as she attempts her escape.

Watching every move now wondering, pondering, tasting unsavory fantasies

that call throughout malingering corners covered by shadows.

Whispering duplicitous words leaning on deception, travel

without hesitation, creating sinister strings entrapping unwilling victims.

Upon nearing envelopment, seething, breathing, encroaching curiously closer

something goes awry.

One simple biased hand thrashes downward

rendering depose.
