Urdu:  Phir hua waqt keh ho baalkusha moaj e sharaab
          Day bat e mai ko dil o dast e shina moaj e sharaab

English:=== O time is right, and the weather is fine
                  Let's bring the flask and have some wine
                                          -

Urdu:  Hay yeh barsaat wo moesam keh ajab kya hay ager
          Moaj e hasti ko karay faiz e hawa moaj e sharaab

English:=== It's softly raining, and the spring is here
                  Let's soak our souls with whisky and beer
                                            -

Urdu:  Chaar moaj uthhti hay toofaan e tarab say her soo
          Moaj e gul, moaj e shafaq, moaj e saba, moaj e sharaab

English:=== Oh, some things in life are totally divine
                  The flowers, the sunset, the breeze, the wine
                                            -

Urdu:  Poochh mat wajh e siyaahmasti arbaab e chaman
          Saaya e taak maen hoti hay hawa moaj e sharaab

English:=== The tulips and roses in the park are drunk
                  And the grapes on the vine are full of spunk
                                            -

Urdu:  Bus keh doarhhay hay rag e taak maen khoon ho ho ker
          Shehper e rang say hay baalkusha moaj e sharaab

English:=== What looks like blood in the veins of vine
                  Becomes in the bottle the spirit divine
                                            -

Urdu:  Moaja e gul say charaaghaan hay guzargaah e khayaal
          Hay tasawwur maen zay bus jalwanuma moaj e sharaab

English:=== The color of flowers make the garden bright
                  For the soul the wine is the source of light
                                              -

Urdu:  Nashay kay perday maen hay mehv e tamaasha e dimaagh
          Bus keh rakhhti hai ser e nashv o numa moaj e sharaab

English:=== The there's something that the wine does contain
                  That's good for the mind, and good for brain
                                              -

Urdu:  Aek aalam pay haen toofaani e kaifiyat e fasl
          Moaja e sabza e naukhaiz say ta moaj e sharaab

English:=== And when it's green in the world everywhere
                  The wine does add something to the air
                                              -

Urdu:  Jis qadar rooh banaati hay jiger tishna e naaz
          Day hay taskeen ba dam e aab e baqa moaj e sharaab

English:=== And if her lash can kill with a sting
                  In it the wine has the life spring
                                            -

Urdu:  Jo hua gharqa e mai bakht e rasa rakhta hay
          Sar say guzray pay bhee hay baal e huma moaj e sharaab

English:=== And he who sorrow in the wine can drown
                  Him luck does favor. and gives him the crown
                                            -

Urdu:  Sherh e hangaama e hasti hay, zahay moesam e gul
          Rehber e qatra ba darya hay, khusha moaj e sharaab

English:=== The beautiful flowers give the world its color
                  And without the wine our lives would be duller
                                              -

Urdu:  Hoash urhhtay haen meray jalwa e gul daekh ASAD
          Phir hua waqt keh ho baalkusha moaj e sharaab 
                                           
English:=== So, GHALIB, these flowers are simply divine
                  Go get the bottle and let's have some wine
