The clearest moment of confusion
My views on how one small event in a person's life can change their life forever.

Every once in a great while an indescribable event occurs in each of our lives. An event, that unbeknown to us, is the moment that dictates what our lives become. An event that envelopes us with stirred emotions of anxiety, joy, confusion, contentment, depression, and assurance. Utterly perplexed by this event, all we can do is ponder, "Why is this happening, why me, why now?" As we ponder the significance of this catastrophic event, life suddenly becomes a blur. That moment, in which we realize our future is solely a mystery, provides us a smile of abashment, and as that smile contagiously spreads throughout our bodies, it fills us with indescribable disorientation. The disorientation soon fades as the pieces fall into place. Finally life becomes clear, and our purpose on this earth is known. For me, this event occurred at the least likely of all times. One small twist of fate, a wrinkle in destiny, has changed my life for good. Yet, the melancholy truth is that when life seems to crash down around you, optimism will only get you so far. Instead of just thinking things may get better in time, we are forced to find a way to make them better, because even the greatest aspirations will amount to nothing if harbored in the soul of a lazy man.
