Haunted Mind

Somewhere down in the depths of my mind.
A haunting has been hidden for a long time.
It haunts me with a ghostly fear I don't know.
Every time I try to divulge it, so away it goes.

It just goes deeper to where it won't be found.
It leaves no trace of where it may be bound.
So deeper it goes to the very bottom it hides.
Taking all traces of itself somewhere inside.

Someday, I will be able to reveal what I fear.
Can't hide there forever because it's so near.
I will search through my mind for any sign.
Discard this haunting from out of my mind.

I want you to know someday I will find you.
No matter where you hide or what you do.
I will search in my mind until I find you.
Take these words to the bank they're true.
