LET THE DOGS KEEP ON BARKING
Can you shame the one shameless Or wake the one awake? A cheat can’t be reformed by Telling him he is fake. One who wants to learn and is Courteous and gentle Would be thankful if someone Points out his flaw fatal. But one who is too bloated Would in no case retract What he said even though proved That it was not a fact. Some who cannot measure up To the height of others Try to belittle them by Saying they’re just muggers. It has been well said by the Sages who wisdom don: “Let the dogs keep on barking, The caravan goes on”. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format • Showcased in the Newsletter for authors, 21 October 2009 M C Gupta 22 August 2009
