Have you ever?
A poem about loss.

Ever wake up and praise the morning sun?
Ever go to bed just as excited and full of glee, for the moon?
Ever find yourself standing in the harsh, winter rain waiting for a bus,
its cold droplets trickling over the corners of your brightest and widest smile?

Ever tremble for your deepest and darkest fears?
Only to find a way through, an external strength making it possible?
Ever get stricken with illness and suffer the days like they're your last?
Then hear a voice, feel a sentiment, and forget the woes of ailment?

Ever cling too tightly to hope and happiness forever?
Ever lose sight of the rose tinted world you once saw?
Ever wake up and curse the morning breath that continues the battle?
Ever go to sleep shaking off the tears of today, unable to wish for a better tomorrow?
