Eternal Regrets

I listened to the wrong voice
Was easily deceived
I lusted after worldly things
If only I’d believed.

Declared my independence;
No need to follow God.
I made many poor excuses
About the path I’d trod.

There’s always consequences
When worldly life you choose.
You miss out on Godly blessings.
Eternally, you lose.

Satan stands at the ready.
For you to hear his lies
He’ll say the things you long to hear
And cause your faith’s demise.

Satan's a masterful liar.
He’s good at his deceit.
His diversions are not lasting.
He lures you to defeat.

He appeals oft to the flesh,
Causing you to lust,
And find giving in to earthly sin,
You feel is now a must.

I heard Satan and I followed.
Now it is past my death.
I lived my life complete in sin,
Then I took my last breath.

Just God is everlasting.
For He alone can save.
Over Satan He did triumph
When He rose from the grave.

At death I came to know this
But, it was far too late.
I died without knowing Jesus.
Damnation is my fate.

Some of you may laugh and scoff
Saying Hell’s no real place
How wrong you are! You can escape
By accepting God’s grace!

God is the only answer!
God’s truth’s the only way!
If only I had just sought Him!
I’d be with Him today.
