BLUNT ARROWS: a sonnet
Arrows that boomerang hurt only the archer.

BLUNT ARROWS: a sonnet

Why not ignore the one you do not like?
Why call him names, insult him for nothing?
What use it is if someone you do strike,
And the arrow just returns to your sling?

The barbs and thorns hurt only the one who
Grabs them and takes them direct to his heart.
If someone simply ignores what you say,
He may prove that he is wiseer and smart.

Why get frustrated in a manner thus,
That your arrows just do not penetrate?
If you ride mistakenly the wrong bus,
Your destination will not be your fate.

Why harm and humiliate another,
Who, in fact, about this does not bother?
