Rated: 13+ | Short Story | Comedy | #1595202
Oh no! Someone's stolen all of the PDG's GPs!

it's a
PDG Tale

Sticky Saves the Day!

Hannah had put in a long day at the "PDG Rockin' Review Forum and was wishing it was time to go home when the blew. Looking over at some of her helpers, she sighed and said, "Whew! Finally, it's quittin' time!

"But there are still donations to enter in our auction, and I've got thank you e-Mails to send to so many of our leaders, but twenty more e-mails have accumulated in my In-Box in just the past hour!"

"I know, I've got a ton of e-Mails to answer myself. Sticky's right," Bonnie♡PDGReview Academy complained. "Those darn do multiply like 's "Oh! For crying out loud, I nearly forgot that I've got a stack of reviews as tall as a giant to look over in my "PDG Rockin' Review Academy!

"You go ahead, Fearless Review Leader. I'll stay behind and finish up for ya," said Bonnie's Review Assistant, Dawn☆Embers Edits .

"Oh is right " Hannah cried. "I forgot to check the "PDG Poetry Workshop. ShelleyA~reviews:4020&counting said she'd be gone all week, and I was supposed to help Scarecrow keep up in handing out GPs, too! I was going to send NickiD89 a thank you c-note telling her what a fine job she was doing creating images for our "Paper Doll Gang Alumni Clubhouse, too. I also forgot to thank Sariah for helping get the reviewers motivated. And what about... seeing how ❦ Reviewing to Premium s doing over at the "Parade of Dolls, Dawgs & Dragons, she said, "Our gang is so loaded with talent, I thought my fingers would drop off entering everything they won this week!" ... oh, the heck with it Tomorrow is another day."

Standing and arching her back, she looked out the window and noticed the Paper Doll Gang just pulling up out front. She quickly shut down her computer, and she and the girls headed out the office door, bumping into Lady of the Myst ,& Winnie Kay & Liam , who were just coming out of Shadows.

"Hey, guysl," Lady of the Myst said, sounding as relieved as Hannah to be heading home. "What do you say we grab Lyle, Ken and a few others and stop off at the Gang Pub for a few? I could sure use one after working all day over in "Shadows Express.

"Sounds good to me,"Hannah chimed in. I've got things under control in the "PDG Main Newbie Classroom . The Newbies are doing great!

"Hey! Don't forget me!" Cath the Purple Unicorn said dashing out of a doorway. She'd been working hard at sending out e-mails to all of the members with special days in the "Paper Doll Gang Anniversary Forum & "Paper Doll Gang Birthday Forum.

"Ditto that!" Puja said. .

Hearing the ruckus outside the "Paper Doll Gang Alumni Clubhouse, PLScholl2 quickly closed up shop and joined the rest of the Gang. "I've just about got everything set for our grand reopening, and I sure hope everyone shows up after all that work I did!" Pepper said. If not, I'll just sick Steelboot Sticky on 'em!"

As they were about to leave, they saw TheGary and Breaker ~A Vigilante Ranger~ waving frantically from the "Last Pen Standing. office.

"Don't forget to drop off your entries," Gary reminded them.

"Yeah," and I've added a 50K ribbon and Mystic's guaranteeing some spots in the next addition of Shadows! I think Hannah's offering GPs just for entering and a merit badge if you place, too!" Duke said.

They proceeded down the Massive Halls of the Dolls, finally arriving at the "Paper Doll Gang Alumni Clubhouse office, Mystic knocked on the door and hollered in for Ken to hurry up or he'd miss the bus. He didn't answer, so Hannah opened the door and peeked in. There was HuntersMoon , sleeping on the job. It was usually pretty slow over here, so nobody could blame the guy for nodding off. Having caught Ken like this before, the girls had a plan of action.

"On the count of three," Lady of the Myst said. "One ... two ... three"

"KEN!" they all screamed in unison, giggling at his startled reaction.

"Huh, wha...What time is it it," Ken asked sheepishly. "I must have nodded off for a second."

"A few hours is probably more like it," Mystic said. "Come on big fella. We're all heading for the pub, we just have to collect Sticky and make that bus."

Unlike Ken's office, Sticky's office door was wide open. His was vacant and odder still, his chair was still spinning It was like he just vanished into thin air, like he always does when he exits chat, "POOF!"

"Well don't that beat all," Ken said scratching his face. "Now how do ya suppose he made it out without us seeing him I mean his dang chair's still a twirling."

Hannah walked into the office shaking her head. "He had to have been hauling butt to accomplish that. I'll bet you he's sitting in the back of the bus daydreaming about going to another one of those sweat lodges, You know the poor German thinks he's an ever since he joined the "The First Peoples Tribe.

They all headed back down the hallway pausing by the last door before they would exit outside. "Let's say goodbye to the Newbies," Cath and Shelley said with glee. Peeking in they saw several hurriedly trying to get their final assignments in before the deadline.

"Bye guys," they all hollered, giving them a friendly smile and a wave.

Just then they heard a door slam back down the hallway, and they all turned to see Sticky emerging from the "Paper Doll Gang Rockin' Reviewer's Group office with a huge load on his back. Hannah winced with shame as she recalled asking poor Sticky to fill in for someone, who was moving to a new home and had the whole week off. Apparently the other girls had taken off early, leaving poor Sticky to sift through dozens of reviews.

Hearing another noise, they turned to see Yuuyake come whizzing down the hall on her new office fish scooter, balancing her laptop on the front. Skarecrow had ordered a dozen of the contraptions to save time and cut down on walking the long corridors.

"Got your back, Sticky. Hand those reviews over. I can do them and anything else that needs doing around here," she said, snatching the stack off his back. She made a tight turn in the corridor, floored the gas pedal and proceeded to zoom off, back in the direction of the Review Forum Office.

"What a relief! Oh, my aching back," Sticky moaned. "And I've got to get home and do a few chores, and then head on over and check the 3 Sister's Corn." Hannah pictured poor Sticky slaving away in his garden ....

"Oh, you poor dear," Mystic cooed, trying to comfort the exhausted Sticky. "Why don't you just forget that old garden and come with us? You deserve to have a little relaxation."

"You know, that don't sound half bad. Yeppers, I think I'll just do that," he said, his face suddenly looking brighter.

The pack of them were heading for the front door, when they heard the high-pitched burglar alarm begin its awful wail. Covering their ears, they started looking up and down the hall to see where the ruckus was coming from.

"Now who would want to break in here?" Hannah asked. "The Gift Station!" she screamed.

Then Sticky suddenly darted into a janitor's closet and they all stared after him in amazement.

"What's he going in there for?" Ken was asking, when Sticky bolted from the closet dressed as his alter ego, Steelboot , and he proceeded to speed off towards the Station. He skidded to a stop in front of its door, and there was jimminy standing in a scattered pile of GPs.. He had just left the "Charlotte's Lounge to go over to the Station to ask Hannah a question.

"I didn't do ... " he began, but Sticky rushed passed him before he could finish, heading for the back door of the Station. He was in hot pursuit of the GP thief .

"Oh!" Hannah said. "Now what are we going to use for prizes at the Grand reopening of the "Paper Doll Gang Alumni Clubhouse It's too late to run an auction," she said as her shoulders slumped.

"Not to worry," said, a big smile spreading across his face. He had the GP thief by the collar and was calling the cops on his cell.

Meeple , who had been peeking out of her "Paper Doll Gang Library, proceeded to cheer him on.
Everyone joined the chant ...

"Sticky! Sticky! Sticky!"
