Her Only Son
by Angel Shadow™

BOOK BLURB:

The year is 2020 and the United States Government has passed a law that states they have the right to choose any woman over the age of twenty-one to produce a male child for the military to take.

Told through the eyes of Kinsey Garrick, who finds herself an unwilling participant of Operation Vala. A program where women are artificially inseminated with genetically altered sperm to ensure a male child; raised by the military to become ultimate fighting machines.

When Kinsey decides to escape the compound with her newborn son, she becomes the target of a world wide man hunt lead by the head of Operation Vala. Known only as "Hakon," this man will stop at nothing to capture and destroy Kinsey and take from her the one thing she's willing to risk it all for....her only son.

PROLOGUE:

The year is 2025 and for most of the world, this is where my story ends. But for me...it's only the beginning. A new beginning after five years of what some would call hell on earth.

Some say you create your own reality by your thoughts and actions, but sometimes life throws you into a series of events that had nothing to do with actions on your part. Sometimes life brings players onto the field that you never saw coming. They hit you out of nowhere; blindsiding you with a force so severe you're left broken and disconsolate. Your mind operating in fight or flight mode and the only thing you can trust is your instincts. You better pray they're right, these instincts, for they're all you've got to survive.

My story of survival began five years ago with a military man named Hakon and a government program called Operation Vala. Hakon, in my opinion, sat in the lap of evil; played on the side of darkness. The name Hakon is Norwegian and means "of the chosen race" and this is how he viewed himself. Chosen...and not to be questioned.

His baby, as he called it, was Operation Vala. Vala is Teutonic and means "chosen one." Chosen...but the women involved were not given a choice. Vala was called one of Hakon's babies, for that's what it was. A program set up by the US government giving them the ability to chose women over the age of twenty-one to produce a male child that the military claimed and raised to be a soldier. An ultimate fighting machine. This was done through artificial insemination with genetically altered sperm.

The general population was told these chosen women had a choice to participate and would receive monetary compensation for their patriotism, but this was not the case. The chosen women had no choice but to submit themselves to a madman's warped sense of reality.

Five years ago I was chosen for Operation Vala and I chose to fight back. To take on a madman in a battle that would change my life, my world, and the world of thousands of other women and innocent children.

My name is Kinsey Garrick and this is my story.....
