Breaking into places was easy for Queen Shadow, especially vacationers’ homes.
Inside one bedroom, plans were going smoothly until something moved under the bed. Peering below, hazel eyes went wide with fear. Atop random pillows lay a hideous creature dressed in pink footie pajamas. Horrified, she screamed. Yellow pupils grew large as gaping maw cried out. After several moments passed, silence reigned. Furry eyelids blinked. “Heavens, you startled me. There any children nearby, perchance?” Mumbled negatives issued from her dropped jaw. “Good, those monsters are scary!” Turning over, it drifted to sleep. Bewildered, Miranda left quickly, seriously considering changing professions.
