NEW PROMPT: Everyone knows that the 3rd time is the charm. But what if that's not correct. What if there's another number that is the "charm"??? Write a short story or poem about the ninth time being the charm. It can be anything the writer wants, but it has to be the ninth time it's been tried. And that time it must succeed.

NINE TIMES, A CHARM!

They say that “three times is a charm”--
but after trying, with alarm,
I couldn’t start my INTERNET!!
I tried so many times, and yet
I’m still missing the birthday “do”
at WDC-what should I move?
(I was thinking MOUNTAINS, and the like);
My net’s just taken a long hike!
After trying most patiently,
I knew my nephew was the key!!
He bounded up to his own space
And flipped the switch to start the race
and get the net back, running good!
Right now, it works just like it should!
It took NINE times to make it start,
but now it’s on--a work of art!!
And now, “nine times, a charm” is what we say
to make the net turn on each day!!
