Urdu:  Jahaan taera naqsh e qadam daekhtay haen
          Khayabaan, khayabaan Aram daekhtay haen

English:=== Your footsteps, darling, wherever they see
                  That they'll lead to Heaven they all agree
                                          -

Urdu:  Dil aashuftagaan khaal e kunj e dahan kay
          Suwaida maen sair e adam daekhtay haen

English:=== And whenever they see the mole on your cheek
                  They think their prospects are all too bleak
                                            -

Urdu:  Teray sarv e qaamat say ik qadd e Aadam   
          Qayaamat kay fitnay ko kum daekhtay haen

English:=== And your shapely figure, oh, it's so pretty
                  There're riots and riots all over the city
                                              -

Urdu:  Tamaasha ker aey mehv e aainadaari
          Tujhay kis tamanna say hum daekhtay haen

English:=== When your face in the glass you see and admire
                  You set the hearts of your lovers on fire
                                              -

Urdu:  Suraagh e taff e naala lay daagh e dil say
          Keh shabroo ka naqsh e qadam daekhtay haen

English:=== So with the hearts aflame, and the minds blown
                  They cry all night, and moan, and groan
                                                -

Urdu:  Bana ker faqeeroun ka hum bhais GHALIB
          Tamaasha e ahl e karam daekhtay haen

English:=== Then, GHALIB, as beggars they roam in the city
                  In the hope on them people will take pity
