Held Them In My Hands
Dedicated to my beloved mother.

This poem is written in my darling mother's memory....past and present. Cancer claimed her life on September 28, 2003, and to this day my heart aches. I love you, mom! *Kiss* *Heart*

"Held Them In My Hands"

Held them in my hands all the while;
carry them with me to this very day.
Your love, laughter, and beautiful smile
are in my heart, and there to stay.

Cried a river of tears when cancer claimed you,
although I knew you were no longer in pain.
Grieved when you joined the angels too,
selfishly wanting you here with me again.

Held all of these things, and still do;
love you for all you were and still are.
What we share will remain strong and true.
I smile knowing you sit on a night star.

One day we will be together again,
looking down on the ones we love.
I carry you in my heart until then,
thanking God for the pain you're free of.
*Kiss* *Heart* *Kiss*
