I want to taste all there is to be tasted,
Live all the moments that might have been wasted,
Touch all of the places there are to be touched,
And clutch you as long as you’re there to be clutched.
I want to kiss every altar of love,
From furthest below to the highest above;
Dwell in the heaven of each great sensation,
Blooming in ecstasy since dawn’s creation.
I’ll measure your depth through the means that I hold;
Know every valley and hillock and fold;
Savor each scent that your garden produces;
Make up for all of your life’s past abuses:
Cure all my starvation with food from your soul:
With no half-way measures, but only the whole:
Steal salt from your sweat, and my mead from your hive:
My life from your lips: Oh, come keep me alive.
Come succor my soul with the heat of your flesh;
Your bravest assault will but serve to refresh:
Take all of my passion your love may incite,
And bathe in its glory throughout the long night.
Don’t wander alone through the fields of your dreams;
Just come toward the sounds of my heart’s lonely screams.
Take me: try to break me if ever you dare;
Use me as you will, but just show me you care.
Try wearing me down or try using me up;
I come for your banquet; allow me to sup.
Submerge me in love that will never decrease;
That’s all I require that can bring me some peace.
