Winter blues had taken over but
Today is a breezy day Promised spring And that gives me hope Today is a breezy day A puffing, gusting, swirling day And that gives me hope We’ll soon see winter’s backside A puffing, gusting, swirling day Blowing the scent of damp, black earth ‘cross the field, through my windows We’ll soon see winter’s backside Once the May Queen’s crowned Blowing the scent of damp, black earth ‘cross the field, through my windows A cool breeze hints at all things warm and fresh and green Once the May Queen’s crowned Yet to bid winter goodbye today would be grand A cool breeze hints at all things warm and fresh and green A garland for the soul Yet to bid winter goodbye today would be grand A sunny yellow heaven here on earth A garland for the soul Winter blues had taken over but A sunny yellow heaven here on earth Promised spring
