Urdu:  Naala juz husn e talab aey sitameejaad naheen
          Hay taqaaza e jafa, shikwa e baidaad naheen

English:=== O if I'm crying, it's not to complain
                  She doesn't have to be nice; there's nothing to explain
                                          -

Urdu:  Ishq o mazdoori e ishratgeh e khusro, kya khoob
          Hum ko tasleem e nikonaami e Farhaad naheen

English:=== To be a Romeo, it is not my aim
                  And if I love her, it's not for fame
                                          -

Urdu:  Kum naheen wo bhee kharaabi maen, pay was'at maaloom
          Dasht maen hay wo mujhay aish keh gher yaad naheen

English:=== I like the space in which to roam
                  Otherwise the desert is just like home
                                            -

Urdu:  Ahl e beenash ko hay toofaan e hawaadis maktab
          Latma e moaj kum az saili e ustaad naheen 

English:=== The experience of living is a teacher great
                  You become an expert when you graduate

Urdu:  Waa'ay mehroomi e tasleem o badaahaal e wafa
          Jaanta hay keh hamaen taaqat e feryaad naheen

Urdu:  Rang e tamkeen e gul o laala pareeshaan kuin hay
          Ger charaaghaan e ser e rehguzar e baad naheen

Urdu:  Sabad e gul kay talay band karay hay gulcheen
          Muzhda aey murgh keh gulzaar maen sayyaad naheen

Urdu:  Nafi say kerti hay asbaat trawish goya
          Dee hay ja e dahan us ko dum e eejaad naheen

Urdu:  Kum naheen jalwageri maen teray koochay say bahisht
          Yehhi naqsha hay mager is qader aabaad naheen

                  It's a lot more busy but just as nice

Urdu:  Kertay kis munh say ho ghurbat ki shikaayat GHALIB
          Tum ko baimehri e yaaraan e watan yaad naheen

                  There's no one here, GHALIB, who has any pity
