Do you keep a journal? A diary?
(A diary is writing for the self, a journal is for everyone and/or publication)

I do keep a journal, although I am not as consistant as I would like to be with it.

I tend to first write a poem or short essay to sort of "try it on for size" and then take the idea from there'

Do you consider a blog a public diary or is it closer to a public journal?

I have a short blog on WDC and add to it infrequently; I usev it to let off steam and to chronicle events of daily life.
