                                      Return To Me - Joy

I am tired and weary - it has been a long hard road.
The fight has been hard and it is not over, I don’t know if it ever will be.

I have had to realize that things were not the way I thought.
I have had to look at things the way they really are – not how I wanted them to be.

I am grieving over something I thought I had – but was never mine.
Now I know how much hatred was there under the guise of love.

I have let it affect me more than I thought.
This depression is controlling and I am letting it win.

Father – Please – return to me the joy that I once knew!
Help me to move beyond these feelings of sadness and sorrow.

Forgive me for doubting and being fearful
Forgive me for not trusting fully.

Please fill me with your wonder and love.
Please return to me the joy that was once mine!

We gained a wonderful gift during this time of stress.
Please help me to receive this gift and not loose sight of it!

Such a precious gift - so full of love!
So full of hope and promise!

She’ll only be here a short time and she will be gone –
Grown in a world all her own!

Please don’t let me waste this time with these negative thoughts!
Please take control once again – and fill me with your love!

Fill me with the faith that I once had
Let me be able to pass this love and faith on to her!

Please let her world be love and wonder
The wonder of a God like you!
