The Last Note

Here on earth as she said goodnight,
She awoke in Heaven's Holy Light;
God called Mama home today,
"Well done, Child," was all He had to say.

She sees no more grief, no more tears,
Crying to God fell not on deaf ears,
Her weak body forever free,
She dwells in a mansion eternally.

The angels sang welcome hymns,
As the choir sang their burial hymns,
The last note floated in the air,
To join her spirit already there.
