I have a heart Such a heart is locked in a somber cage flits from side to side pecks the bars of useless regret longs to mate with the sky commune on high wires Such a heart I keep for me so no one else can see the erratic beating of time inside a hopeless mind By rain, air, the waves that crash and sink a heart such as mine seeking a better form resilient yet loving forgetful yet remembering lives on I have a heart Such a heart bleeds pumps, flutters and flies Such a heart I lock up inside that cedes skips a beat falters and dies.
