Target Acquired
I turned to the window... and froze. Precisely at eye level was the biggest spider I'd ever seen. A preemptive strike clearly in order, I shifted my weight and raised my left foot up to my right hand. Removing the sandal, I cocked my arm to strike, then relaxed. The thing was outside. Window saved.
