Yesterday
Little ditty about Yes-ter-day.

Sometimes it's best not to look
over your shoulder at yesterday.
No matter the lessons and knowledge
you might possibly gain.

The gamble is random,
no guarantees either way.
Wisdom through experience,
or unrecoverable pain.

Sometimes it's best to ignore
the voices from yesterday.
Concentrate only on today,
clutching to what might be sane.
