I held your hand
as tears splashed your cheeks.
You emptied your heart
and I offered strength where you were weak. 

I held you tight
as sobbing racked your form.
You released the past
and I offered you safety from the storm.

I reached out
as you turned your back.
You walked away
as my world faded to black.
