Wasteful Ways
Waste, it’s something we all do.
It’s not just me, it’s not just you.
We waste our food, we waste our money.
You forgot about our lives there, honey!
Oh yeah, that’s right. We waste ourselves.
Way deep inside where no-one delves,
There’s something special waiting there,
a fundamental spirit that’s full of care.
If we could learn not to waste that part,
Well, hell. At least that would be a start.
From there, perhaps we could improve,
and get into a sharing groove.
By sharing what we usually just waste,
it comes back around, and we get a taste,
Of something we didn’t at first glance earn,
Except by doing someone a tiny good turn.
So think, next time you’re feeding that bin,
who could benefit from what you put in…..
