Do Not Disturb

Slumber still in peaceful bliss,
no pain, no sound, no sight.
Relaxing, a serene abyss,
a restfulness so right.

Breathing gently out, then in,
gradual rise and fall.
Serenity from deep within,
enveloped in night's shawl.

The morning sunlight, daylight breaks,
through floral window blind.
To stab my sleeping eyes awake,
and so torture my mind.

From fetal position I uncurl,
my body recoils, so.
Limbs forced slowly to unfurl,
to face the day, I go.
