LINE COUNT;

Write a poem or story about winning a contest, only to find out that the prize is something you didn’t want (like a year’s supply of dog food when you have no dog, etc.)

THE PRIZE??

I entered a small competition
to highlight my cats,
and when I won, I was amazed to
find my prize ersatz!
The prizes, they were good substitutes
for something of worth
but when I took them to be valued,
they caused me great mirth!
